World FIrst Mobile Phone

Today mobile phone is an essential part of our daily life. We could do a lot of stuff from our mobile phone like playing games, video calls, manage activity and much more. Do you know Dr. Martin Cooper a researcher at Motorola is the inventor of mobile phone. Thus Motorola is the first company to prepare the historic first mobile phone on April 3, 1973. This prototype mobile phone that Dr. Martin Cooper invented weighted 1.1 Kg, 23 cm long, 13 cm deep and 4.45 cm wide. It took up to 10 hours to re-charge and only 30 min of talk time.

Later this company introduces the Dyna TAC 8000X the first commercial mobile phone at the price of $3995 (approx. $9000 in today price). Martin cooper made his first call to his counterpart Dr Joel S. Engel of Bell lab. His word was “Joel, I am calling you from a real cellular telephone. A portable handheld telephone” the birth of mobile phone is from bell where they give the idea of cellular system in 1945. Before this the phone was used in install both or at home with wire network. With cellular system the phone was move able but limited to vehicle. Another key person is the John F Mitchell the boss of Cooper who was able to push Motorola to produce such device that we can carry anywhere with us.
