Toshiba Kirabook (2015) review

If you are looking for an ultrabook that is both light in weight and attractive then you may want to take a look at the Toshiba Kirabook. The Toshiba Kirabook’s aluminium casing gives the ultrabook that premium feel that you sense when you see a MacBook Pro. This ultrabook’s slimness and sleekness are further accentuated by the brushed metal chassis that gives it a sense of sturdiness. Complementing the Kirabook’s aluminium look is a black low set keyboard. Clean cut and straight to the point is what this ultrabook is all about. You won’t see any excess or extra bits on this model. The Toshiba logo is firmly laid out on the lid of the ultrabook stamping its authority and laying claim to this beauty of an ultrabook.

Toshiba Kirabook’s Strong Points

This ultrabook is powerful and has a pleasant look about it. All else considered it is one of the better looking ultrabooks out there. When put to the test it put up a good fight demonstrating just how solid it is and what a great battery life it has. The Kirabook doesn’t struggle when it comes to processing power and operates smoothly without hassle. Its sub 3 pound makeup will not be a burden to bear on your daily commutes to and from work or school. The Toshiba Kirabook also boasts a quad HD touch display screen that shows images in stunning quality.

Toshiba Kirabook’s Weak Points

It is impossible to find a perfect laptop altogether, perhaps the word ‘perfect’ should be left out of the tech world vocabulary for it doesn’t exist. But this ultrabook comes almost close to perfect except for its screen brightness problems. It has a dim display to it which makes it a difficult to use laptop if you are trying to work in an environment that is not well lit up. The keyboard itself is a bit shallow and makes typing uncomfortable. Sometimes we like an ultrabook only to take one look at its price and whistle long and low shake our head in disappointment and move on. This is the case with this ultrabook – unless you have a pretty bank account this ultrabook will cost you a pretty penny.

Toshiba Kirabook’s competition

The world of ultrabook is dominated by the likes of Apple and in order to rival such brands your own game must be up to standard. Toshiba’s Kirabook makes an effort to sit in this category of top brand competition. Do not be deceived by its appealing outside because this 13.3 inch girl will give you a run for your money. Running on Window’s the Kirabook’s slimness has been compared to that of the MacBook Pro.

Verdict

The Toshiba Ultrabook is one of the better models on the market. Other than the dimness this ultrabook is worth considering if you are looking to buy an ultrabook.
